As Liam spouted off everything they'd told him, Daphne couldn't help but be a bit embarrassed by it all yet again. The boy was just so...calm about it all, and listening to everything he said just made it all sound so silly.
"Yes, that's about it," she said, nodding. If he asked anymore questions, she thought she might lose her patience, and she had never had that happen with the boy so far.
Daphne smiled at him when he agreed to be quiet, but by the look on his face, she knew he wouldn't be able to do it. "Good."
Then Zorbin arrived, letting her know that Nigel was crying. She looked over her shoulder and Miles and gave him a look of apology before looking back down at Liam. "You want to come play with Nigel? I know he's always happier when you're around. Then I can make you some dinner?"
