Daphne cleared her throat again. This conversation was almost unbearable uncomfortable, although somehow it was getting just a bit easier as it continued. So far, anyway.
"Yes, much older," she agreed, nodding. "It's different than being friends with someone. It's not the same kind of feeling, and you won't know what I'm talking about for quite awhile. It's part of becoming an adult, and and being a kid is a lot more fun."
"And your father is right. It's something that parents are supposed to talk to their own kids about. So no telling your friends, okay?" She knew it wouldn't work, but it would make Miles happy to know that she agreed with him.
