"I'm aware of that," Remus said softly. However, his logic was managing to make it different this time around. He pursed his lips and just looked up at her. "The times are so much different now than they were even five years ago. Look at the pox virus," Remus pointed out.
Still, he knew this was something he would not be able to turn her from. It tore him up inside, but he also knew he couldn't change her mind. And deep, deep down... Remus didn't want to either.
"We'll... work on your cover together," he said softly. "If you're going to do this, it can't be half-arsed. And I should hope you're not going immediately. It's been quite some time since you were an Auror. I don't want you going anywhere until you're sure you're back up to par."
