Rodolphus was pleased to see that Bellatrix was appeased. She was far easier to handle when she was happy, and this virus was making her decidedly prickly, even by her usual standards.
"He'll find that handling a wife is a skill that takes finesse." Rodolphus knew his own marriage wasn't conventional, but he thought he managed to keep Bellatrix subdued enough when needed.
He looked at her more closely, understanding her frustration. "It will pass, my love." And he knew that this experiment, whilst not a complete failure, would not be tried again. "Any impediment is frustrating." He sighed as his own headache returned. Her cackling was bad enough on a normal day, but it did grate on his own fevered headache.
"I shall write to Rabastan, and deliver him the good news. I doubt he will see the humour as we do. At least, at first."
