Daphne nodded. "It's been a long month," she responded, knowing he'd understand. She couldn't wait until all of this was over and she could actually relax.
Pulling the sleeping potion she'd grabbed for Liam out of her pocket, Daphne held it out to Miles. "Take it if it'll help. You really need your sleep."
Her smile was soft at his words, and she wrapped her arms lightly around him when he kissed her. She didn't respond with words, for she didn't know exactly what to say to that. Why did she care so much anyway? A year ago, she wouldn't have thought twice about walking out and letting them deal with their own problems, but she couldn't imagine doing that now.
Letting her actions speak for themselves, she just continued to kiss him, hoping that he knew that she'd done all this not because she thought she needed to, but because she wanted to. It felt right, and that was what mattered.
