Daphne wasn't sure how many times Miles had apologized to her for all of this. She knew that it was her own fault that she had gotten involved, but in the moment, she didn't want that blame at all. It was so much easier to share it (or even hand it off), and she didn't want the guilt of helping kill her friend's unborn child.
Daphne just continued to nod her head in quiet agreement. No one could ever know about this, just like no one could ever know about a lot of things. So many secrets to hide, and she hated every one of them. Secrets were a part of pureblood and Slytherin life, but this was getting insane. She just hoped that down the line, it would get easier.
"Yes, she's...going to need it I think." It was the first time that she was glad that Millicent had Justin. She was going to need him when (if? no, she didn't want to think about that) she woke up.
Daphne shook her head then. "No, don't think like that," she said, leaning her mouth against his neck. "It won't help."
