He looked back down at Liam, even more certain with each minute that some of his pox marks were fading. He'd put some more salve on them, and hopefully when he woke, he'd eat something and the worst would be over. "You should go out and treat yourself one day - I'll look after the boys."

He took a deep breath and sighed, his hand falling from her shoulder as he started to feel more waves of guilt. "She mentioned that Millicent is still sick, and she lost her baby." Daphne would understand why he actually would even give a care about that, knowing his guilt for the entire pox plague.
