He saw Liam lying there, and for all he knew, Romilda could still be there, or she could be gone. He was beyond listening to her. She said far too much that he actually agreed with tonight. Perhaps he was just a little more vulnerable than usual because it was very late, and he was tired and stressed.
He simply sat there and watched out for Liam, noticing the sliver of light as the new day dawned. When he finally looked up, it was to see that Romilda had gone. It had been the strangest conversation, but Romilda had been right, for once.
