Despite his efforts to focus, Oliver's mind was still too aloof to notice Natalie's aversion. He followed her through the store to another section.
"These look good," he dutifully listened as she explained the different varieties. It was kind of cute, he thought, which is odd since he normally found such explanations to be inane and bothersome.
He scanned through them. "I've never been a fan of the gooey candy - too messy," he grinned. "I'm not sure if soft candy would hit the spot. I suppose that leaves the hard ones, eh?"
