"Something along those lines," Severus said with dry amusement. "It was necessary for many reasons for there to be open antagonism between Harry and myself." He paused and smirked. "We did perhaps carry it a trifle too far on occasion."
He arched an eyebrow at Faustus. "Those times were highly complicated and uncertain. We all did what we had to do in order to survive. Sometimes these are things that don't perhaps look the best to those who are ignorant of the true situation. You will likely hear many things about what I, Draco and Harry did. Some will be the truth, some will be sheer fabrication, some will be somewhere in between. All I ask is that you come to me before you do anything."
He waited until Faustus nodded and dived back into his breakfast then shot an amused glance at Harry. He was rather proud of his son's ability to put things together and ask pertinent questions.
