Daphne ignored the pathetic glare that he shot at her. Liam was far sicker than Miles was, and she was pretty sure that most of the symptoms he was experiencing were in his head. Frankly, he should be helping her take care of his son instead of whimpering in bed, but she wasn't sure if saying so would just cause more problems. If he kept being so pitiful though, she wasn't sure if she could hold her tongue forever.
"There's a couple more Pepper Up Potions, but you don't really have much of a fever, so I don't know how much good they'll do. I could get some more potions for the pain, but you keep saying they aren't working." She sounded a bit exasperated, but she didn't know what he wanted her to do. "There's still some salve that I've been using on Liam's sores, but I wouldn't know where to put it since you don't actually have any marks."
Daphne ran her hand over his hair as if in comfort, noticing against that although he had a fever, it was rather light, and not nearly as bad as it was a few days ago. Her stomach twisted at the mention of the vaccine, but she kept the emotions that tried to rise with it down.
She took his hand as he reached for it, placing it against her cheek, a bit surprised. "I'm fine," she said softly, smiling at him. "See, no fever."
