Ginny knew she'd shocked him, and smiled as he babbled away, apologizing for things that didn't really require an apology. Not now, at least.
"I love you," she said again, giggling a little at how good it felt to say it. It was freeing. "I Ginny Weasley, love you, Neville Longbottom." A bright smile broke out over her face. "I think I've loved you for a long time."
He asked if he could kiss her, and she smiled again. "You never have to ask, you can kiss me anytime." She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his gently, sighing when his hadn came up to cradle her head. She grasped his wrist as the kiss grew deeper, and crawled into his lap to get close. "I missed you too," she whispered, before kissing him again.
