Fighting down a frown as he realised just how tired Percy must be, he simply nodded. 'Bed then,' he said. 'And we'll figure out how this is done. Or make it up as we go along.' That thought actually did calm him somewhat, because if neither knew how to do this, then perhaps he wouldn't be the only one to screw up? If they screwed up together it couldn't possibly be as bad.
