"It's good to hear that the Verity and her family are still doing well," she said, smiling. "They were lucky to be out of town for all of this. I'm sure Liam will love his little sleepover."
Daphne tilted her head to the side at Miles' quiet words, but her smile was bright when he finished. "That sounds wonderful, Miles. And sun is something I could definitely use," she said, smirking a bit. "I think getting some fresh air might help a lot."
She called over Zorbin, informing him that they'd be out for a short while, and to come get her if he needed anything while watching Nigel. The house elf bowed deeply, promising to obey, and Daphne pushed herself to her feet, looking at Miles with more expression in her face than she'd been able to manage in almost two weeks.
