AQUAGIRL | It was lucky that Redbird had little difficulty tracking down Q because they needed her help quicker than expect. The team that went to New York had come in with Power Girl but also a badly broken Warhawk. Power Girl was luckily safely away in her cell which seemed to be doing it's job of keeping her powerless. Warhawk was rushed into the Medlab, Marina didn't know all the surface jargon when it came to medical conditions, but critical condition was obvious that things were very bad. Wonder Woman gave her the run down of what had happened, and oh, Lilah Luthor was waiting to speak to her. ...she could wait. By the time Marina was done with Wonder Woman the team that had headed to the Fortress had good news at least, Chris was in custody and they were bringing him in soon. Once she was done with her team it was only a short walk to the holding cells, she walk past several till she came to Lilah. "You wanted to speak to me."

LILAH LUTHOR | Sitting in one of the Justice League's holding cells is rather annoying. Lilah Luthor of course expected exactly this reaction and treatment, but the predictability of it fails to make it any better. If they could simply accept the reality of this situation more quickly, she wouldn't have to waste this time. She is sitting on the bed rack in the cell when Aquagirl appears. She is still in her green and purple bodysuit but has been relieved of her various devices. How sad. Yet still so terribly predictable. "I want to speak to to whoever runs this team now. If that's you... well, I do suppose they could have done worse." She stands and approaches the energy field separating them. "To cut to the chase... yes, I am alive. No, Grodd did not kill me. Obviously. That was a ruse. I felt the need for some time off. But now I am taking time out of that to help you."

AQUAGIRL | "Obviously." In Marina's opinion, it does very little to cut to the chase when all she's doing is stating something that's become obvious just by Lilah standing there. "If you've been so kind to help us out of concern then I guess I should thank you...but since you want to cut to the chase maybe it's best you just tell me what you want." Whatever her reason, Marina is going to assume this wasn't done out of the goodness of Lilah's heart.

LILAH LUTHOR | Lilah crosses her arms. "I am going to use the resources you have here --" By resources, she means Kryptonian lab rats. "-- to develop a means to purge red Kryptonite poisoning before it causes permanent brain damage. Since I saw you brought in that Question, I'll even allow her to assist me. What you will give me in return is simply just staying out of my way. When I'm done, I will leave here with all the research and samples I collect in the process."

AQUAGIRL | "Allow her." Marina smiles slightly and shakes her head. She's not sure in what position Lilah thinks she's in to make these demands but Marina rather not let Lilah touch anyone. "And why would I let you do that and let you use our resources and facilities when I can let The Question handle it?" She wouldn't have called in The Question if she didn't think she could help.

LILAH LUTHOR | "Yes, let's depend completely on the woman with probably no experience with Kryptonian physiology much less neurology. She's sure to find the answer before irreversible brain damage sets in." Lilah sighs and rubs the bridge of her nose upon a new realization. "This is ridiculous. I'm trying to explain this to someone from a primitive culture that I'm sure uses sacrificial offerings and witch doctors as medical remedies. Are you really in charge?"

AQUAGIRL | Marina steps closer to the energy field, the problem with things on the surface is that there's no longer bars on these sorts of things so Marina can't just punch through it. Technology doesn't improve everything. "It wouldn't matter who was in charge because they would all give you the same answer. Letting someone like you come in here and have access to anything in this building or anyone after the things you've done wouldn't be considered wise." Marina tilts her head closer to stare in at Lilah. "To those raised inside and outside a primitive culture."

LILAH LUTHOR | Lilah smiles. Did she hit a nerve with that last comment? Oh well. It is only fair that they both be annoyed here. "Oh, this isn't so much about wisdom as it is necessity. You need me to do this. This is all the result of one of my daddy's pet projects. You are all in over your head, and that's just simple fact. Your little faceless doctor has little idea of what she's up against and there's no time for her learning curve. The only real option you have is me. Why waste time pretending otherwise?" If anyone is going to unravel what Lex Luthor has set into motion, it's going to be his daughter. "Left unchecked for too long, the red kryptonite in their systems will not only certainly cause brain damage, but I would expect at least two of them to die from some catastrophic neurological failure. I realize that none of them are your brother, but you do still care what happens to them. Because he did. And we both know he wouldn't risk their lives because of anything I might do."

AQUAGIRL | If Marina made any expression during Lilah speech, it was entirely unintentional, and if there ever was one to begin with there isn't one by the time she straightens up. "You'll be given access to whatever you need to find a cure for them. Once The Question is done looking after Warhawk she will assist you." The next thing will hopefully wipe the smile off Lilah's face. "And Redbird will be watching you."
