A slight bit of overcast crept into her eyes, and almost imperceptibly, her smile dimmed. Not for the first time, she wondered if he regretted his decision, but it was too late to back out now, and they both knew it. It wasn't terribly fair to him, perhaps, but just the thought of the idea of him changing her mind made it necessary to stomp down a rising panic attack.
"I suppose it will at that," she said as she turned away slightly. "Roy, might I have a glass of water?"
