Edward sighs. "In my world, it was the other way around. The only reason my husband's still alive is because we got here in time for me to fix it with a red stone." He bites his lip, wondering if he said too much.
"Anyway, I can talk to someo-" Hang on a second, coughing fit. "Sorry, we're all getting over the flu here." He makes a face. "The cough is the part that tends to hang on forever. Anyway, if you don't mind waiting in the garden, it's nice out today, I can run over to my alternate's apartment and see if he's got his device that can do that kind of thing."
