There was nothing more satisfying than taking an engine apart, or at least, that was what Vach thought. Most people would probably have found putting it back together a little more gratifying, but not him. Maybe it was because that involved a lot more concentration, and then he couldn't sing along to Rolling Stones and have Ringo howl along with the backing vocals.
He slid out from under the old rust-bucket that was his current project, greasy hands wiping down the torn old jeans. He'd spell them clean tonight, not that they ever stayed clean for long. But at least it stopped too much grease getting up into to loft. "Coffee?" He called out over the music, towards Vicq, his only human companion now his brothers and boyfriend were back at school full-time. Vicq was pretty cool, and knew his stuff, and while Vach knew he was technically the guy's boss, he didn't like to act like it.
"What you get up to over the weekend?" He asked as he strayed closer to where the slightly older man was working, and beyond that the magically ever-hot coffee pot. It was sludgy and sweet, just how he liked it, and perfect, if you didn't confuse it with engine muck.
