F’lox blinked slowly, still not quite awake. “Wait, what?” He scratched the back of his neck and squeezed his eyes shut. These females were shortening his lifespan. “What did I supposedly do? I haven’t seen K’rin all day and oh.” He blinked and her. How could she of all people not have heard? He reached out and grabbed at her, scowling and taking a step forward to grab her arm and haul her behind him to Baerth. He gave his sister a shove towards the brown. “Up.”
Baerth turned his head to look at the tiny angry blonde and bent his knee. Fen was sorry that her first ride on his dragon was under these circumstances, but he had news that required some privacy. “Baerth, we’re going to Lyrra’s weyr. We need privacy,” he interrupted Kenzie as she geared up for another tirade. “We need privacy. And I need a shirt, and we’ll have both at Lyrra’s since she’s passed out at my place. I’m going to assume K’rin didn’t see you today.” His face was grim and tired as he situated himself behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist to keep her anchored as Baerth launched upwards.
