The face that Kenzie made was mostly an eyeroll, combined with a little bit of (mostly) faked amusement. Truth be told, she liked K'rin's teasing; she liked that he didn't take her too seriously. She liked that he didn't take himself too seriously most of the time. That was the problem with all the bronzers that had tried so hard to flirt with her. They were all so full of themselves, and so arrogant, and so annoying. None of them joked with her. None of them just teased her or talked with her in the easy, good-natured way that K'rin did.
"Ahh, but when you're alone with me, blue rider, there's no need for me to be in a bad mood. Is there?" Smiling, Kenzie started her fingers at the ripples of his abs and then flattened her palms against her stomach, sliding them up his chest until she could hang her wrists loosely around his neck. "Ordering people around is my specialty. I think it's why they promoted me. This is a lot of talking about work, when we're supposed to be forgetting it, you know." Tipping her head up, she dropped a kiss on his nose, then on his chin.
