K’rin smiled and dropped his towel, crawling into bed beside her and situating himself on his side. He traced a finger over her shoulder and chuckled. “I won’t say anything,” he promised. “But you’ll understand if I’m a bit concerned about your health. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you skip a meal.” He put a hand to her hip and shifted her so that she lay flat and a bit beneath him. “I wouldn’t say no to forgetting all about this day though.” Not that they’d be able to. They both had their own follow-ups to perform, but they could ignore that for the night and be relaxed for the morning.
“You did a good job,” he complimented, mouthing a spot on her collarbone. “You took care of the weyrlings and ordered people around like you were a proper Lord Holder.” He chuckled and raised his head to tease her. “I’d much rather be called into a meeting with A’ver again than be alone with you in a bad mood.”
