I am blessed to have so much of my family around me in this dark time. I'm sorry for those of you who are alone.
If your mother could hear you speak any words today, what would you say to her? It's not common for the elves to celebrate our mothers for the act of being a mother, but I find the idea wonderful.
[Mother Anairë (and Fingon)] I know you don't recall us or know us in any capacity as your children. Nevertheless, you are our mother, and I'm thankful for what you have given unto us all our lives.
Yours is a strength that outdoes father's.
[Elenwë] You encourage me to be better than I am. You who have taught me to stand up for myself. I love you, always. No matter the distance or the time between us.
What words would you say to Itarillë? I pray she never comes here, though I know she would love her mother's wisdom in raising a child newly given to her.
