"Way too early to be wearing that face, Squeaks." She managed to joke even though she was on a case about a domestic dispute. Lightly she placed weight on her left side and straightened her posture a bit. She had to show some good behavior, couldn't be some mangy dog in front of new people. For now she kept her brown eyes on him and the smallest actions he made. It was the best thing she was good at- people watching.
Once her eyes met with the bar tender she would throw up two fingers addressing she would like to have what hes having. It wasn't nice to leave someone drinking on their own. Grinning she would bring her eyes back to him. "What do they have to eat here?" Bar food was okay, in moderation that is. Lucy smelled a lot of attractive things at this place. It could have been the fact that its simple food and there was nothing fancy to worry about. Imagine eating BBQ chicken wings with a fork and knife? That wasn't Lucy at all and she highly believed she should change that. There was no way HE would enjoy that. God, she missed her family and home. But now these kids needed her, they needed an adult to guide them. To take care of them when no one else will. She still remained hopeful that one day she would be able to go back home and see him again.
