Talking with Izzy had helped some, but Alec still felt like he was losing his mind. Relationships were complicated. Being told he had to take a break was complicated. Actually, this whole place? Complicated. He sort of destressed once he got back to the Institute by changing out of his clothes. A pair of pajama pants and a faded zip up hoodie. His fingers yanked the zipper up half way before he allowed himself to collapse on his bed. An arm was thrown over his eyes as he waited for Mark and Jace to show up.
He heard Mark approaching. How could he not? The music, the sound effects, By the Angel, he had gotten himself into something weird.
Alec pulled his arm away from his face to level a look at the door just as the other Shadowhunter appeared. The amount of loot Mark was carrying was impressive, but he was more surprised by the bucket of ice sliding into his room. There was a joke in there somewhere about him falling for magical people.
"I am not sure if I am impressed or mildly worried," he remarked as he shifted so he was sitting up. "I figured we could watch Sharknado tonight?" He didn't want to talk about Magnus or what either Izzy had said. No, he just wanted to be near Mark and Jace. He had the feeling he would actually be able to sleep tonight if both were next to him.
"Give me the cookies," he held his hands out and made a gimmie motion. "Please and thank you." A faint half grin appeared on his face as he watched Mark.
