who claire and bard where outside the apartment complex what she is trying to be helpful when shortly after this rating/status low and ongoing
Claire had been in Daytona awhile and had pretty much kept to herself, holed up in her room. There were times she left. Those moments tended to be rare and normally involved a trip to the library. She had visited with Michael a few times, but that was about it for her. She hadn't made friends. The girl had never really been good at making friends anyway. No one like a person who skipped nearly all the grades. Geniuses got bullied. Claire got bullied. Going to college hadn't changed that, in fact, it had only gotten worse. Well, that and there had been that whole vampires were real thing she had to deal with. Arriving in Daytona had been startling enough for her.
A person who could barely use a computer had to be beyond confused! She could only assume he was from some different time or world. She had managed to talk to a few people over the network. He had seemed like he was struggling more than most, so that was why she was going to help. Michael would probably scold her later for just willingly going out to meet someone she didn't know.
Michael Glass could be pretty over protective of her!
Claire was almost 17. There was no need for him to worry so much. Things were kind of tense in Daytona, but so far no had been trying to kill her. She didn't really need to worry about some vampire draining her. This person she was meeting was probably harmless. Probably. Claire realized she might be making a mistake just as the elevator doors open. Well, it was kind of late to turn back now! Plus? If he was nice then it would be rude to just leave him waiting.
She began to chew on the edge of her thumb as she made her way through the lobby and headed outside. The air was humid as always. Hopefully, night time would drop the temp some and it wouldn't feel like she was standing in hot tea. As she stood there, chewing nervously on her poor thumb, she cast her gaze about looking for the person she needed to help out.
