"It has if it's keeping you from buying lingerie," he said indignantly. Peter didn't know much about lingerie, of course he liked it on her quite a bit, but he'd have found his wife sexy if she was wandering around in a burlap sack.
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair, the apple forgotten for the moment in his other hand. No, he didn't want to invite the neighbors over, but he had a nagging feeling that they should. There was no doubt that the place was weird, and their neighbors were strange; but he thought if he could get to know some of them he might be able to put his finger on what was happening (if anything was happening). He could also tell that Lena thought it was an awful idea and it made him smile at her just a bit, "Not really, but for some reason I feel like we ought to.
