The Penthouse was quiet. Vlad was at Daniel's, and the ghosts were milling about as they liked to do in the early hours of morning. Boyd had tried to cover her head with pillows, to pretend they weren't there, to count sheep and wolves and cherubic angels. None of it worked.
Which is how she found herself high on Xanax and sitting on the middle-most step between the penthouses and the roof, planning her meeting with Vaughn, and trying to dream up where she could find a gun at this short notice without having to return to her apartment.
She couldn't ask Shane or Vlad or even Daniel, not without them panicking, and she didn't trust Rick. A knife wouldn't do. She wanted to kill her, and for that she needed a firearm and bullets.
