Being able to defend himself was an appealing idea, even if a few slick martial arts move might not work so well against a ghost - that was an area he had covered. He was thinking of hanging some rowan or something over the door to 804, hopefully to keep Emil's tormented spirit in his apartment and away from everyone else.

But the more human threats in the building couldn't be repelled with amulets and plants, hence the reason he was swallowing his usual nature and allowing a stranger to teach him how to spar... or whatever it was she'd be teaching him. Li was new, though, and seemed nice enough; besides, he might not be the most athletic of men, but he wasn't out of shape by any means. It might not be that bad.

He opted for black sweatpants, sneakers, and a black t-shirt; grabbing a couple bottles of water before heading down to 405. Even if there was some sort of equipment he was supposed to bring, he didn't have anything that could remotely be used. It didn't take long to get to the fourth floor, even though he did choose the stairs over the elevator, and when he reached 405 he barely hesitated before knocking.
