"I do," she said, not returning the favor of giving him her name back. She'd been wearing a lot of dresses lately, and the one she wore now dragged a little across the floor when she did take a few steps toward him, gathering dust. She liked that, the quiet sussurus of sound when she moved.
"I saw you," she explained with a smile. She extended a hand out a little in the air, wiping it in front of her, a fair imitation of the vision she'd seen. "You did that, and then static jumped to your fingers from the man who was chasing you." She snapped her fingers. "Just like that. You caught it and you knew exactly what it was." Her eyes brightened with curiosity. "You're something special." Her tone wasn't unkind, even if it was a little empty and far away.
