Aaron ignored him and turned away, vanishing from the doorway.
He moved quietly once he was in the living room, frowning as he did so. More deep male voices, speaking to each other, muffled by the wood panel. He put one palm up to the door... and what he felt made him stumble back into the couch. Whoever it was outside heard the sound, and pounded again.
When Aaron appeared in the doorway again, he was several shades paler. "There's some people here. They want to hurt somebody. I think it's you. You have to hide." He looked frantically around.
