Who: Cole & Aaron What: English class #1 Where: 802 When: Sunday at 10am Warnings: None?
Cole was awake by 7 on Sunday morning, which actually constituted as sleeping in for him since he'd set his alarm for 6. Either it hadn't gone off, or he'd just been too exhausted to hear it - the latter was more likely. It was only the beginning of the school year and already he was beginning to feel the pressure, particularly in the marking department. He liked to take his time when marking students' work, giving constructive criticism so they could improve the next time.
It just took so damn long. He'd been up till about three and still hadn't finished.
Well, that was all put aside for a few hours, at least. He was tutoring Aaron today, who he was pretty sure had been in his class for the first few days. He was glad that he hadn't dropped out all together, though.
Agenda-wise, Cole figured he would get a feel for the teenager first - every student was different, and what worked with one might not work with another. His collection of books wasn't as large as some, but it was fairly decent - titles ranged as far back in history as Plato and Aristotle to as recent as Stephen King - with Shakespeare in the middle, of course. His other book collection was in his room... he figured it would be best that way, to avoid questions about why he had books on psychics, telekinesis, how to become more in tune with the spiritual world and that sort of thing.
At about fifteen minutes to ten he was all set, with his lesson plans and paper and about three different books to start off with. At the last moment, he figured the kid might be hungry - sure, teachers didn't give their students food in class, but this was a little different - so he dug through the cupboards and found one of those tins of cookies some friend of his mother's had given him before he moved.
