Who: Vlad, Shane, and Vlad's new dogs. What: Tension in the elevator. Where: The elevator. When: After Vlad adopts his new pets. Forward-dated to tomorrow during the day. Warnings: Swearing, likely.
Vlad was more than pleased with his new pets - Gabriel had given him some time to acquaint himself with them, and even he was slightly surprised at how quickly they took to him. At first, they were wary - he could tell immediately that Cain was the stronger of the two, and defied his name in the sense that he seemed very protective of his brother. He'd approached them slowly, patiently; and for some reason he wasn't quite sure of, had decided to speak to them in Romanian rather than English. They responded almost immediately, as if they had known him forever.
Once the papers had been signed and the dogs were officially his, Vlad had introduced them to their new home. They explored every inch of his apartment, but they made no attempt to jump onto the couches or do anything that a typical dog would have done. Instead, after they were apparently satisfied with their new home, they merely sprawled out beside each other on one of the carpets.
Yes, he was certainly pleased with them.
He'd left them alone to continue his work, but after a few hours he happened to glance up and see them sitting in the doorway, simply watching him. They didn't bark, or even move... just simply sat there.
Vlad sighed. He had been told that these sorts of dogs needed exercise, and it seemed as though they had decided it was time they got some.
He opted to take the elevator rather than the stairs, and ordered the dogs to sit as he pressed the button for the first floor. He hoped that it wouldn't stop at any of the other floors, but that hope was dashed when the elevator ground to a halt at the sixth floor, the doors sliding open with a groan.
