“Oh, I know,” she laughed. She was starting to doubt there was anyone on this earth more persuasive than Vlad. Her arms laced around his middle as she kept her face buried in his neck, only tilting her head up to see him pull out his cell phone or to glance down at the dogs walking beside them. “Oh alright. Since you insist. Our bed will remain decidedly humans only.” She laughed softly once more and pressed a kiss to the underside of his chin. “I missed sharing. At least with you. I’m decidedly over sleeping by myself.” It didn’t necessarily need to be said, especially since their apartment building was reduced to ash behind them. But she thought she’d admit that she was done living on her own. From here on out, she wasn’t going anywhere.
