As he watched the crowd begin to thin, people heading off in different directions either alone or with others, Vlad realized just how few goodbyes he actually had left to say. Aside from Daniel and Rosalie, there really hadn't been anyone else he was particularly close to - Boyd was already gone, while finding Max in the crowd wasn't likely as Brian would be the one in control now. It didn't make him feel particularly sad, but a strange feeling of nostalgia mingled loneliness settled over him as he thought about everything that had happened in Bellum from the time he'd moved in until now. Things had changed, he had changed... and now it was over. Gone, in a blaze of fire and a roar of destruction.
He glanced up when he felt Cain and Abel brush past him, his expression relaxing slightly when he saw Helena. He offered a small smile, wrapping his arms around her waist in response to her embrace in an effort to provide some kind of silent comfort. Everything was different now, but he still had her and that was all he really cared about. "Anything," he said in response, tilting his head down to look at her. "We can travel for a while and see the world before settling down somewhere a little more permanent."
