After watching Lotte leave, Bran felt considerably lighter than he had before. Yes, the building was destroyed and they were all essentially homeless, but maybe it wasn't such a bad thing. At least it was a chance to move on, and even though they might still have their abilities, he doubted the full moon transformations would happen anymore. Maybe a part of them would remain connected to their fables, but it didn't have to define them... not anymore. Despite his closeness to Erik, a distant fond memory to be tucked away was all he wanted him to be now.
He turned and made his way back through the crowd, spotting Gabby and heading towards her. "I've done all I needed to do," he told her once he reached her side, casting another look around - but now it was casual, not longing. He was ready to go and never look back. "Whenever you want to leave, I'm ready."
