She set Gabriel down on the ground, letting him sniff around and returning her attention to Joanie with a feeble half-smile. Before she could even start to pull her thoughts together enough to come up with something to say, the other woman flung her arms around her in an unexpected hug. It wasn't unwelcome, however; Hannah didn't have too many friends left in Bellum, and even though she and Joanie weren't exactly close, she returned the hug gratefully.
"Yeah," she sighed, still a little shaky as she stepped back. "I wasn't expecting... this." She waved a hand towards the remains of Bellum. "It seems like it might be a dream, and I'm not sure if I want to wake up or not." The finality of it hit her suddenly, and she realized her chances of seeing any of these people again was slim to none. Nick, Luther, Lotte... they'd go on their way and she'd go on hers. "But I guess you're right. I'm glad... I found you, then. To say one last goodbye."
