Hearing her name was a strange thing. She almost expected the speaker to be something horrible, like a swamp monster or the boogeyman. Turning quickly, Joanie threw a wide-eyed look over her shoulder before registering who it was. "Hannah!" she exclaimed, twisting to face the other woman.
This was one of the few times that holding back wasn't on her To-Do List. Without any warning, she flung herself at the blonde, pulling her into a tight, manic hug. Resting her forehead against her own arm, she squeezed slightly, her breaths shallow and fast. "You're okay," she breathed, finally releasing her and stepping back.
"I-I'm glad I saw you, I wanted..." She paused, suddenly realizing that hugging somebody she was only semi-friends with at best was probably weird. "Well...I guess this is it, and I didn't want to not say goodbye..."
