Hannah didn't even realize she'd fallen asleep until the limo came to a stop, and she jerked awake with a sudden panic. When she saw that she was still inside the car, unharmed, some of her initial wariness melted away - but she still didn't trust the situation. The taser was in her bag but still easily accessible, so she gathered up Gabriel in her arms and pushed open the door to step outside. A sudden wave of heat and smoke hit her, and when that cleared she saw the building in all it's burning glory. There was no tearing her eyes away even if she'd wanted to, even though the smoke stung them and the sight of some kind of thing clawing at the empty air made her want to turn away until it was over.
But all she could do was watch, transfixed as the building was destroyed before her very eyes. Once it was a pile of smoldering rubble she realized she was shaking, and she took a few deep breaths to try to pull herself together before scanning the crowd of people that had gathered to watch their building fall. She didn't quite absorb the fact that she was homeless yet, still too shocked to do much of anything except wander amongst the people and look for any familiar faces.
When she caught sight of Joanie, she hurried forward and nearly gasped her name. "Joanie?" She was a familiar face, at least, and maybe she'd seen Nick and Luther.
