His life had been riddled with some pretty strange and awful sights, but Will would fully admit this one belonged in the top ten, if not the top five. He was completely silent watching it fall into itself and then watching the others as they clustered on the sidewalk. Every person was numb, some reacting wildly, others, like him, caught in a state without words. Others, like Gabby, were in-between, finding words but not exactly the right ones.
Eventually, he shook his head and cleared the flashes of fire from his eyes, looking over at Bran and Gabby half-questioningly. The garage had apparently been spared the fire, which meant that his car was all right, but he couldn't get all his furniture back with one long-suffering Ford. First, he supposed, he'd find his way back, get some of the stuff, make sure nothing had happened in their absence. Then he'd find either someone to buy the heavy stuff, or a truck willing to haul it. From there ... he didn't know where to go from there. But that was all long-term planning. Right now, he just needed to get somewhere that wasn't in front of the wreckage of the place that had screwed with his life.
"I'm going to try and figure out if there's anybody to talk to about this. Any landlord, maintenance ... " He shrugged. "After that, I'll see what happens." Though he remembered hearing about a landlord that left, just up and disappeared, he knew there had to be someone else who'd controlled him, sent him and gotten rid of him. Those would be the people to find, he knew. How, though ... that was another question altogether.
