Sam gently wiped the tears that had fallen with his fingertips, thumb brushing along Joanie's cheek. "Yeah, that would probably be a good idea," he said, thrilled at the prospect of getting to rest for at least two minutes. He was tired - not just physically, but emotionally as well.
