She was driven to try and solve the vampire problem instead of ignoring it, so Aiden did have some faith in her. She wasn't going to blindly give in to it. That much, he figured, would at least help her keep Lucy under control; or hinder her, if nothing else, when she tried to do what it is her novelization told her to do.
What did he have to do today? Ah, right. The draft, which he had no desire to do but needed to get finished before Monday. Cleaning the room, checking in on people. Possibly calling home, which he hadn't for a while. Go out and ... hm. Maybe he could put that off. It didn't really matter, though; while he did have things to do, they weren't horribly pressing. His life was relatively mundane these days, with the separations of full moon transformations to make things all the more difficult.
"I have a couple things to get done, but if you want ... " He headed for the main area of the apartment and stared at one of the bookshelves that was overloaded, threatening to fall and crush him were it not for the nails driven through its back into the wall. "If you don't have anything to do, you could ... borrow something to read. I'm not exactly lacking in literature." It seemed a little lame, but when it came to giving people options, Aiden was firmly in the everyone should read more camp.
