Aiden Shepard [ Abraham Van Helsing ] (arcere) wrote in bellumlogs,
Glad she'd met him? He supposed there must be people who at least relatively enjoyed his presence, or else they wouldn't still be hanging around him. Still, it was rare people told him outright, and Aiden found himself at a loss for words when she said it and made her way around to the sink. Briefly, his mind scrambled; then he managed to reclaim it.
"No, that's fine. Thanks, though." He had a few other dishes to do, anyway, breakfast and all that. Polite of her to ask, though. If he'd been in her place, he probably wouldn't have offered. But he wasn't a particularly good person. "It's been ... a long night. Understandable that you'd be out of it." He glanced again at the bruise on her head and grimaced. Just had to go at her with everything you had, didn't you, Helsing? And now the guilt was trickling along his spine.
Even if she had tried to kill him.
"There's at least a month before we have to deal with this again, so you can take your time coming up with something. I'll probably have a handful myself." Plans to keep all the vampires in check, not just her - especially if it involved killing certain ones to keep them from using the other two to harm. Then he wondered: how much was him and how much was Helsing? Ugh, it was too early for an existential crisis.
