Aiden Shepard [ Abraham Van Helsing ] (arcere) wrote in bellumlogs,
Strengthened, she maintained her sanity. It wasn't surprising. Aiden mused on the idea, still holding onto the tea like it was the last line of defense against thoughts that wanted to spiral out of control. The anchor on a storm-wracked ship. Her worries were understandable completely, but so far, as much as he could tell, the knowledge those others had ... it didn't seem to come through as much. Maybe because despite what they knew the others transformed and ran off; maybe because they wanted revenge on characters instead of people (or just ... other people, he supposed). Whatever the reason, if Vlad knew Aiden's name, chances were he knew where he lived, and yet Dracula had never come down to attack him.
... while he'd been there, anyway.
"There's not a whole lot she can do," he said dryly. "I turn into Van Helsing. She probably hates him more than she dislikes me for being him, and in any case trying to hurt me is the same as attacking him." He glanced back at his calendar, wishing again that there was a window there, or at least something more interesting. "And even if she trashes my room, it's an inconvenience at worst." Which wasn't entirely true - he'd probably lose his mind temporarily if his room and all his stuff was destroyed - but in comparison to having family living nearby, or a roommate to be responsible for, it wasn't exactly high on the scale of tragedies.
