"She saw someone she knew when that all happened. She helped him... when she isn't, or after she's fed she's not, well, she's a bit more... approachable. For a time. A very limited time." A deliberate pirouette away from acknowledging that he hadn't replied to the letter. She didn't blame him... it was emotional and volatile. It was a haphazard, self-made explosive no combat engineer would've stepped right up to volunteer for. It was macabre Poe style. She'd thought only it might have been too much, or needed more thought put into it, the response... or that he had no way to help. Perhaps it was just daunting. She thought too much the best for people. Not the worst.
"I appreciate everything you've done for me." Said she, eye contact finally. Figuring she may as well be out with her appreciation. If it hadn't been for him she could have woken up anywhere. With someone else's blood. "But I don't know if it's safe that we know each other. I mean, she'll know it too..."
Was he going to think that was rude?
"I want to know you, you're very nice Aiden, it's just... I don't want her to. You understand? She'll hurt you."
