"They irritate me, at times." Theo pursed his lips, considering. "But still, it's nicer than silence." The hissing sound in the middle of 'nicer' was drawn out to fit the pattern, bringing an unintended prominence to the word. It was important, though, to make his sounds fit as much as he could. Important, and if only this girl could understand that, too, it would be ideal.
In response to her voices not being nice, he informed her, "You'll find if you're firm, they're far more favorable." At least, that was the case in Theo's experience. He wondered if Lotte had even tried it... such a pity, people giving up those things that made them special.
What about... the tea?
