Re: Fifth floor, and heading down
Truth be told, she wasn't sure they would still be allowed out after this disaster, and once Dracula bit into Joss as well, she knew their fates were practically sealed for the next moon. No one in their right minds would let them loose, their human hosts included, hopefully. The free flowing blood made her hunger rear its ugly head once more and her fangs curved over her lip, but otherwise she kept her teeth at bay. She could only look back regretfully when Joss' eyes turned to her.
As soon as Dracula lifted his head from the girl's arm Mina let her grip on Joss' neck go. Her hand came up instead to yank the knife from her shoulder, dropping it to ground immediately once she heard Sherri praying. The words had little effect on her other than to remind her of her damnation but already Mina was moving to leave regardless. She wanted nothing more than to flee from this terrible sight. Her hands were coming up to wipe away the blood from her lips and her feet were already taking her back the way she came. "Take her and go," she said to them swiftly, not specifying who was to be the one to look after the other. "I'm so, so very sorry," she added, although it made no difference. The damage was done. She had meant to find help and made a mess of everything instead. She gave them one more remorseful glance and headed toward her apartment. Dracula could go wherever he wished. She was never able to stop him anyway, no matter how hard she tried.
