Re: First floor
Cinderella was quite skilled at dealing with boredom - after all, cooking and cleaning for her stepmother and stepsisters wasn't very interesting, but the trick was to keep her mind occupied while she went through the motions. Pacing back and forth in front of a door was heaven compared to manual labor. The hallway seemed to be quiet, although she could hear sounds coming from above - although she was hardly a coward, she wasn't as strong as a knight or the usual sort of person who would guard things.
When she heard someone descending the stairs her posture immediately tensed, prepared to be on the defensive... until, that is, she saw the beautiful redheaded woman coming around the corner. There was nothing even remotely threatening about her, and when Cinderella's gaze traveled to the crown atop her head, she instinctively dropped into a polite curtsy. Clearly she was royalty, and it was only right to show the proper reverence. "Hello." Despite her curiosity, she still recalled her manners. "I can, yes. This is a... safe room, I believe it's called, meant for people to stay in for protection against the dangers that walk these halls tonight. I am meant to guard it, and..." She gestured toward s the bat. "This is to defend myself, should the need arise."
