If there was any hesitation she didn't show it, stepping inside and glancing around the apartment with bright curiosity. "Your apartment is great," she said honestly, even though it wasn't the most eloquent of observances. It wasn't a generic sort of nice that was meant to impress the masses, and even though it was a little assuming, it seemed like the apartment was decorated to portray James's own tastes instead.
Hannah had nearly forgotten about the wine, glancing down with a slightly sheepish smile. "I know, but I wanted to... as a gesture of thanks." It sounded cheesy to her own ears, but the words were out before she could take them back. "Um - you like wine, right? I'm no expert, but I figured most people do."
