Words are human - it's what aside from parrots, defines someone as being more than animal. But Xavier can't manage them - his mind races too much as he focusses on the physical pain of now and pain of betrayal from before. It's hard to tell which hurts more - Lucas' blows and kicks as he fights back or his words which lash like a whip.
He feels his hands reach Lucas' throat and he intends to squeeze, throwing his body over him to pin him down. Gina rings out, echoing and his hands tighten. There's no words for the level of hate he feels towards him or to describe his emotions and a scream of rage escapes him - only intelligible to those who understand what true loss is.
There's nothing more he wants than for Lucas to stop - to stop talking, to stop moving, to stop having Gina, to stop ruining others lives. He almost wants it more than he wants him to experience the same agony and as fierce tears escape, Xavier decides it's that. It can't be, for if this wasn't a dream, he would give it up - give it all up now, just to destroy him and be rid of him once and for all.
