It's beautiful in its own twisted, disfigured way, and Lucas feels almost proud at his creation. He is responsible for this. Those tears, that scream of rage; all of this was because of him, and because of that, Lucas could feel no fear.
Edward's strength was remarkable, and it takes all that Lucas has to resist, but eventually his arm gives way and he's simply trying to duck out of the way to avoid that hand that has every intention on ripping his throat out. Lucas twists beneath him, and he can see the tears glinting on the man's face, and he just wants to drink them up like the finest wine. But instead he strikes out again, cruel and below the belt.
"She's mine too, you realise. Gina. I took everything from you, Edward! And I've given her more than you ever could dream of, you poor, pitiful excuse for a man!"
